Theme Installation

Importing Default Content

If you want to set default content for faster site development open trademark-export.xml(file situated in base directory of Trademark template) via "Tools -> Import -> Wordpress -> Upload file and import".

NOTE: for importing content use this plugin WordPress Importer.

Setting Default Options

When you activate Trademark template your next step may be setting default values for options. Navigate "Admin -> Trademark" and click on "Save changes".

Custom Menu

Trademark template provide three custom menus - Header Navigation, Main Navigation and Footer Navigation.

You can find menus options in "Admin -> Appearance -> Menus"

Menu Creation

Firstly navigate to: Appearance - Menus and create new menu. Then choose items like pages, categories or custom links from the left column to add to this menu.

After you have added your items, drag and drop to put them in the order you want. You can also click each item to reveal additional configuration options.

When you have finished building your custom menu, make sure you click the Save Menu button.

At the end you have to select location for your menu. Find "Theme Locations" box and select location for your menu.

Header navigation Location

Main navigation Location

Here you can control pages that will be shown in the main top menu. Order of the pages is not taken from module Pages. (Order settings from Page module are used only for Submenu that is used in sidebar on the right hand side).

Header navigation Location

Header location is the best place where you can put your featured pages which contain best stuff.

Footer Navigation Location

Here you can control text links that will be shown in the footer.

Appearance Settings

Through these settings you can set you background color, background image, main content color... these options are powered by color picker so you can just choose your color from palette.

If you want you can active theme box which can helps you to customize website.

Sidebar is created in sidebar widget area (Appearance -> Widgets -> Sidebar Widget Area). To control displaying individual widgets on pages install Widget Logic plugin.

After the plug-in is installed, a new “Widget Logic” input box is displayed in the options box of every widget you use. In this box, you can type a series of WordPress conditional tags to control where exactly the widget is displayed.

Slider

Every page and post in Trademark template has slider options. Under the WYSIWYG editor you can find "Slider" box.

The "Slider" box consists of one select box and five fieldsets for image options. Firstly select your preffered slider in select box(options are: none, custom image, cycle, promote) and than fill the image options.

When you select "custom image" from select box just first one image will be shown.

When you select "promote" from select box just first three images will be shown.

For contact form we used Contact form 7 plugin. If you want same contact form as we, download it and set this layout:

Portfolio

For portfolio we used WP Portfolio plugin. We implemented two portfolio styles. First, column based style portfolio, you achive by wrapping portfolio into "[portfolio_cols]" shortcode.
